Rev. James Walters was appointed to Lone Star in June 2018. He was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Mississippi as a teenager. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Religion with a minor in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. As well as a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. And he is currently attending Asbury Theological Seminary pursuing a Master of Arts in Theological Studies.
Before being appointed to Lone Star, James worked as a Youth Minister at Minor Memorial United Methodist Church and Sandy Hook United Methodist Church. James enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, movies, and teaching the Bible.
