Pastor

Rev. James Walters was appointed to Lone Star in July of 2018. He was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Mississippi as a teenager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Religion with a minor in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. He is currently attending Asbury Theological Seminary in pursuit of a Master of Divinity to complete requirements for ordination in the United Methodist Church.

Prior to being appointed to Lone Star, James worked at Minor Memorial United Methodist Church and Sandy Hook United Methodist Church as a Youth Minister. James enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, movies and teaching the Bible.
